What is ArchiveBox?

ArchiveBox is a powerful, self-hosted internet archiving solution to collect, save, and view sites you want to preserve offline. please note ArchiveBox NEED you to run some command lines to create the account and does not allow to create a default account.

Self-Host ArchiveBox

Follow these steps to deploy on your own server.

Install Docker

Skip this step if Docker is already installed on your server.

curl -fsSL https://get.docker.com | sh

Configure

Customize the settings below. Defaults work for most cases.

Deploy

Copy the configuration and run it on your server.

services:
  archivebox:
    environment:
      ALLOWED_HOSTS: "*"
      MEDIA_MAX_SIZE: 750m
    volumes:
      - archivebox-data:/data
volumes:

Then run:

docker compose up -d

Access

Once started, access your app at http://localhost:8000
