1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Senate, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use our services.

2. Service Description

Senate is a self-hosted Platform as a Service (PaaS) software. We provide:

• Community Edition: Free version with basic features

• Pro Edition: Paid version with advanced features

• Enterprise Edition: Paid version for organizations

3. License and Activation

When you purchase a Pro or Enterprise license:

• You receive a perpetual license for the version purchased

• The license is delivered as an activation key

• You can use the software indefinitely without additional payments

• Updates and new versions require license renewal

• Early bird pricing is locked in as long as you keep renewing

• Licenses are non-transferable and for your use only

4. Payment and Refunds

Payment terms:

• Payments are processed through Creem.io or other payment processors we may use

• All sales are final - no refunds for activation keys

• Prices are subject to change, but existing customers keep their renewal rate

• Payment information is handled by our payment processor, not stored by us

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your activation keys

• Complying with all applicable laws when using Senate

• Your own data backup and disaster recovery

• Ensuring you meet the minimum system requirements

• Any content or services you deploy using Senate

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Share or resell activation keys

• Reverse engineer or decompile the software

• Use Senate for illegal activities

• Attempt to circumvent license restrictions

• Use Senate to harm others or infringe on their rights

7. Software "As-Is"

SENATE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee that Senate will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

• Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license

• We are not responsible for data loss, business interruption, or lost profits

• You use Senate at your own risk

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to Senate if you:

• Violate these Terms

• Engage in fraudulent activity

• Use Senate in harmful ways

Upon termination, you may continue using the version you purchased, but will not receive updates.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Senate after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in UK courts.

12. Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase and use paid versions of Senate.
